BUSATIS double knife
The takeover and further development of BUSATIS double knives by Ennepetaler Schneid- und Mähtechnik has decisively promoted ESM's world market leadership in the field of oscillating mowing technology. Since the takeover of double-knife cutting technology in 1994, this product division has been continuously expanded. Since then, the design and quality of BUSATIS double knives have been significantly developed and improved.
BUSATIS double knives in ESM cutting units
BUSATIS double knives are used in a large number of ESM cutting units. Both in semi-professional and professional applications, BUSATIS double knives are characterised by their high level of user-friendliness. The smooth running of the cutterbars makes operation effortless, while the high cutting power of the patented Carbodux® knife blades delivers excellent harvesting and cutting results. Due to the wide range of applications for BUSATIS double blades, from private use in hand-operated mowers to special applications with very specific mowing situations, it is not possible to make a general statement about maintenance and replacement intervals. The operating instructions for the mower must always be consulted for the relevant maintenance measures. As blade wear naturally varies depending on the area of application and frequency of use, the specific mowing situation must also always be taken into account.
General information on resharpening BUSATIS double blades
As a general rule, the BUSATIS double blades may need to be resharpened after approximately 5-10 hours of operation. This regular resharpening should always be carried out in order to maintain the mowing performance of the BUSATIS double blades at a consistently high level. Before resharpening, the blade must be removed from the cutting unit and cleaned. This is followed by an inspection of the back of the knife and the knife blade, which must not be bent. A message may be required here. Only then can the actual sharpening process begin in accordance with the relevant instructions. The BUSATIS double knives are ground, for example, using a hand grinder with approx. 15000-20000 revolutions per minute in conjunction with a cup-shaped mounted point. If these grinding intervals are adhered to, the mowing performance of the ESM BUSATIS double blades can be maintained at a consistently high level.
