Finger bar
Finger beams are used in agriculture in particular. Oscillating cutterbars with fingers are the classic working tool in this sector when it comes to a clean cut when harvesting fodder and cutting plants. They are therefore often used for harvesting hay and other fodder. One advantage of these mowers is their slim and lightweight design, which makes them flexible to use.
Special features of ESM finger beams
The stable construction of the ESM finger bars (patented Carbodux® knife blades) makes them ideal for professional use. Low energy consumption and comfortable handling make finger beams a reliable tool. They enable fatigue-free work and high area performance under demanding conditions. Even tall grass is cut effortlessly by the finger bar. The slim fingers optimise the crop feed, while the long service life enables efficient and high-yield mowing. Finger bars, whether single or double-fingered, are ideal for protecting small creatures, as the oscillating mowing movement allows them to escape. The ESM long-stroke finger bars achieve a mowing speed of 3.2 - 3.6 km/h, the short-stroke finger bars 2.8 - 3.3 km/h. The power requirement per 1 metre of cutting width is 2.5 - 3.0 kW for both the long-stroke and short-stroke models.
Safety of ESM finger bars
The safety, maintenance and assembly instructions for the ESM finger bars must always be observed when using and replacing the blades. This also includes compliance with the prescribed conditions for safety, disassembly, commissioning and maintenance. Responsible handling of the cutting device is also a prerequisite. This is the only way to guarantee the benefits and warranties of the mowers. The intended use of ESM mowers with finger bars must also be observed. Mowers of this type are only suitable for work in agriculture and forestry, for municipal mowing work and for extensive landscape maintenance. If the cutting unit is to be used in a vertical position, the guidelines in the specific operating instructions must be observed. Any use beyond the areas of application recommended by Ennepetaler Schneid- und Mähtechnik is not in accordance with the intended use.
