Free cut

Thanks to their design, Ennepetaler cutting and mowing technology products are compatible with a wide range of drives. This also applies to the finger bars with double fingers in the free-cutting category. This ensures a wide range of applications and optimum mowing and harvesting results, even in demanding areas of use. The ESM range of finger cutter bars includes the free-cut finger bar and the centre-cut finger bar. The finger bar free cut is equipped with double fingers on the outside and has a folding guide.

Finger beam free cut according to customer requirements

The sturdy construction of the free-cutting finger bar and the patented ESM Carbodux® knife blades make it, like all ESM cutterbars, an extremely reliable mower. Whether a finger cutter bar with centre cut or free cut is selected depends on the specific requirements placed on the mower. In principle, ESM always develops solutions that are customised to the customer's requirements. As with every ESM product, the installation and user instructions must be followed to achieve the best mowing results with the free-cutting cutter bar. Every user must first familiarise themselves with the safety instructions, the design and the maintenance and assembly instructions for the respective cutterbar type. The general user instructions for ESM finger bars apply to the finger bar free cut. When assembling an ESM finger bar cutting unit with other components, the assembly and safety instructions must be integrated into the operating instructions for the "complete machine".

Mounting the finger bar free cut

It is essential to ensure that the cutting unit of the free-cutting version is only attached to the mower drive at points that have been expressly agreed between ESM and the respective machine manufacturer. In the event of deviation from these specifications, the machine manufacturer of the end product is responsible for all regulations on mounting and operating safety and must provide detailed mounting instructions. In addition to the other general regulations for finger bars, specific assembly regulations must be observed for the blade guide in the free-cutting version. A basic adjustment is always required after loosening the fastening screws. Great care must be taken when removing and installing the blades; protective gloves must be worn. To remove the cutter head in the free-cutting version, follow the procedure in the assembly and user instructions. Ensure that the mower blade can be moved back and forth smoothly after installation and adjustment.
