Pruning
Pruning trees and shrubs, for example on the edges of meadows and fields, but also in green spaces, is a necessary measure in agriculture, horticulture and forestry. The pruning of trees and shrubs serves different purposes in these sectors. The first is to protect the machines and mowers used in the field. If wood surrounding fields or meadows is not cut back regularly, this can disrupt the harvesting and working process and clog the mowers. Furthermore, care must be taken to ensure that the wood does not extend into the meadow and cultivation area and reduce the usable area.
Pruning in landscape maintenance
In horticulture and landscaping, pruning is also an important and regular maintenance task. Hedges need to be pruned as well as conifers, saplings and shrubs. Pruning usually serves to maintain the desired size and growth habit. The specific work processes and the associated safety measures must always be observed when pruning trees and shrubs. The carrier vehicle, on which the hedge trimmer is mounted, travels slowly along the hedge or shrubbery and cuts off branches and leaves. The position of the hedge trimmer can be adjusted vertically or horizontally, depending on the desired mowing result. The clippings produced when trimming a hedge must be collected separately if this is desired.
