History of the Herder company

An important step in the company's development was the market launch of a patented mowing basket in 1964. The device made it possible to work effectively and quickly in water maintenance and is still a great success today. Based on this successful product, the company continued to develop machines, mowing arms and customised products for water maintenance. Thanks to its innovative equipment and machines, the Herder company experienced an economic upturn in the following decades, which led to the opening of a larger factory in 1983. Another important event in the company's history was the market launch of the Grenadier equipment cart in 1988. The versatility of the Grenadier made it an extremely successful tool for all conceivable water maintenance tasks. It is still a popular all-rounder in this field today. The continuous expansion of the Herder product range led to a further expansion of the company premises in 1994. Today, Herder is the market leader in the field of water, ditch and vegetation maintenance and supplies customers in over 30 countries. Herder products stand for versatility and quality. The maintenance of watercourses and ditches is an extremely demanding area of mowing that places high demands on all components of the mower.

Ennepetaler Schneid- und Mähtechnik has developed special beams with special cutting systems, most of which are patented, especially for difficult work on and in water. ESM special cutting units are ideally suited for use in bodies of water and are also specially designed for the mowing basket manufacturer Herder, for example. Mowing fingers and special blades ensure that all mowing work on bodies of water can be carried out professionally. Herder mowing baskets with ESM special cutting systems are used to maintain and clean embankments, canals and ditches that require regular and effective maintenance.
