The choice of the right drive should be carefully considered. As with the cutting units, only high-quality mower drives should be used. Products from unknown manufacturers that initially appear to be inexpensive usually do not fulfil their promises. Defects, technical faults and high maintenance costs are often the consequences of purchasing a cheap mower drive.

However, such disruptions to the mowing process are not acceptable in professional mowing operations. Commercial agriculture places high demands on mower drives. The stress on all components is very high here, so reliability and drive power are important factors when selecting mower drives. Mower drives that do not fulfil these requirements are ruled out here. In the private sector, users will also appreciate mower drives that work powerfully and reliably and can be operated with little effort. Cutting units and mower drives from unknown manufacturers are therefore not recommended here either. There are also a number of other factors to consider. It goes without saying that only mower drives that are suitable for the design and size of the cutting unit should be considered.
