The VERTI-2-FLAIL cutterbar from ESM for vertical tractors is based on an in-house development. Alongside other innovative developments, this has led to the development of the ESM VERTI-2-FLAIL vertical flail system.
Patented vertical flail from ESM
The patented cutterbar with hardened blade carrier, armoured blade bearings and special flail blades is designed for professional use and is suitable for mowing extremely densely overgrown extensive areas. The special pendulum-mounted blades effortlessly cut through dense vegetation, such as that found in roadside verges and other rarely mowed areas. The ESM VERTI-2-FLAIL technology is also used in forests and vineyards. Thanks to its special design, ESM VERTI-2-FLAIL technology combines a high level of mowing safety with an exceptionally high mowing performance. Vertical flail mowers are surrounded by a thick-walled flail mower housing that prevents stones or foreign objects from being thrown away. The flail blades are characterised by their extreme cutting power, which is also capable of cutting through stems up to 50 mm in diameter. Extensively utilised areas can be mowed quickly with such a professional vertical flail mower without the risk of the cutting unit being overloaded or damaged by too dense vegetation or too thick stems. Instead, the ESM vertical flail mower effortlessly mows through even large and very densely overgrown areas and finely shreds the cuttings.
Low fuel consumption with the vertical flail mower
The slim design makes the mower flexible to use and facilitates handling. The patented design, which is based on just two blades per blade carrier, means that blades can be changed quickly and easily. The additional low maintenance requirements of the ESM technology make the vertical flail mower a mower that works quickly and effectively even under the toughest conditions. In terms of consumption and environmental protection, the mower is also at a very favourable level, as the low energy requirement enables fuel-saving use compared to other flail technologies.
